A food and clothing ministry to the needy.

Our Mission & Core Values

Our Mission:

Friendship Providers in Action commits itself to sharing the love of God through feeding and clothing any person in need and to serve them with love and respect.

Our Core Values:

We give the glory to God for all that we do.

We love our neighbours as we love ourselves, and we want to serve them the same way Jesus would if he were here on earth.

We love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.

We want to be his hands and feet and serve his people who have the least by feeding and clothing them, and introducing them to Jesus.

Our Story

"It has been 27 years since I was first invited by my sister-in-law to distribute sandwiches left over from a catering job to the less fortunate people on the streets of Vancouver. We had only 70 sandwiches to hand out that day. As I finished handing out my share, I had only 2 sandwiches left but there were 3 men still holding out their hands. I gave my last 2 sandwiches away and I turned to the 3rd man telling him how sorry I was that I had no more.

At that moment, the man I had given the last sandwich to took his small sandwich and broke it in half to share it with that 3rd man. That touched my heart in a way it had ever been touched before. This could have been that mans only meal of the day, yet he was willing to share it with the 3rd man. When I went home that night, I thought to myself 'There must be a way to help these people'. That following Sunday, I went in front of the members of my church and I asked each person to bring me one sandwich and the following week I would be willing to take those sandwiches to the streets. And that’s how we began our journey".
